Konstantinos Samaras was born in Athens in 1991 and has been deaf since infancy. His personal journey and constant search for knowledge led him to combine education, language and innovation through a multidimensional academic and professional path.
He studied Business Organization and Administration at the Athens University of Economics and Business and then pursued studies at the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology. He completed his educational career at the Department of Primary Education of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with a focus on Special Education — a field in which he further specialized through postgraduate studies.
Although he grew up in a hearing environment, he became acquainted with Greek Sign Language during his student years and has since been actively involved in its education, promotion and development.
He has worked in fields related to Special Education, and was also a Motivational Speaker at the Association for Social Responsibility for Children & Youth (S.K.E.P.), participating in awareness-raising and empowerment actions.
Today he works as a Special Education Philologist and Greek Sign Language Teacher. At the same time, he focuses his interest on the use of Artificial Intelligence in the field of Sign Language, exploring ways in which technology can enhance accessibility and communication.
Writing is also an important part of his creative expression, while he actively participates in periodical publications and article writing.
In his free time, he loves traveling, reading literary and extracurricular books, and engaging in the arts.
